Shipping Updates + Acoustic Guitar Video

Dear Backers! 

Here are the good news: The Acoustic guitars have already started to ship to people in China and other countries in Asia and should be completed by the end of the week.

As for you backers in Europe - The ship is supposed to arrive in Slovenia on October 28th and delivery will start about a week after.

As for shipments to America, we are still waiting for an arrival date. Unfortunately we can't say the exact day before we'll get an approval from the shipping company.

We've made you a little home video with everything you need to know about plugging, connecting to the OMB app, playing and having fun.

Acoustic Guitars Update

Dear Backers,

We know you’ve been waiting for an update and we apologize for the delay.  Learning from the past,  we preferred to post the update after we have a little bit more control on what is going on and fuller information.

We have been burned in the past, trusting 3rd part companies, manufactures, delivery etc, disappointing our backers and ourselves.

So here’s the deal regarding the acoustic guitars and we once again thank you for your patience!

As of now there are 700 wonderful Acoustic built in Guitars packed labeled and ready to ship. We are still experiencing problems with about 100 more.

We've been looking for ways to ship them once they are ready and not wait until all of them are ready to ship.

We are shipping to 52 countries (!!) Which requires a lot of logistics. Shipping a guitar individually could cost $150-200 per unit which is way off our budget and abilities.

This week we finall figured out a way to ship whatever is ready within our budget.

All the guitars are scheduled to be picked up from the factory next week. They are already packed, labeled and sort by destination. They will be taken by the courier to a warehouse by the docks, waiting for the next ship. As we learned from earlier shipments – that could take about a week and a half. Then, depending on location, shipping takes between 3 to 4 weeks. Customs release should take no longer than a week and then 3 to 5 day delivery within your country.

Deliveries going to the US, Australia, Africa and Asia, are going to be delivered immediately as they arrive at your country.  Shipping to Europe Would start at the same time. 50% of the guitars to Europe are ready to ship, and the others need some more work which would be done in our warehouse located in Slovenia. These will take a little longer to be released.

Regarding the OMB app!

Now that the Acoustic challenges are mostly behind us, we can put our energies into the app and make it much better! Our plan for this month is to add 10 more styles, some more sounds and fix some bugs in chord detection.

As mentioned in the past we are also working on a platform that would enable editing tools, inserting your own sounds and styles, And much more.

We are also upgrading the sampler and engine that will allow better sound quality and performance.

Both acoustic guitars and the upcoming app features are working amazingly well and we are very excited about the near future, and we sure you guys will be too!

Acoustic Guitars Update

Dear Backers,
Here's our acoustic built-in guitars update:

After all the delays and the unexpected issues, we are at the final stages of the acoustic guitars fixes and since there are still some problems with a small percentage of the acoustics we have decided to take extra precautions and to add an external strip to the bottom side of the neck. This strip will guarantee a stable connection between the frets and the OMB internal device and of course, will not interfere at all with playing.

We’ve tried everything possible to keep it inside the neck, at this point we do not want to take any chances of broken connections that will ruin the experience.

Here are a few important updates!

We are very excited you are posting videos of your OMB Electric guitars and OMB upgrade kits, please feel free to post as much as you like on the OMB group and on YouTube so we can expand our community and support each other.

*Electric Built it Notice*
When connecting your guitar to charge and the LED flashes on the OMB deceive, keep in mind that doesn’t turn on the guitar, in order to turn it on - press the set button for 7 seconds and then connect to your device.

*Upgrade Kit Backers*
Anyone that installed the kit on an acoustic pin bridge guitar and the Flex Lexan ripped during installation - Here's a special video tutorial on how to fix it:

Unfortunately, we still don't have an update regarding the acoustic guitars. The OMB team is on it's way to the factory as we speak, and we'll have better answers while we conduct more tests on the latest work.
