Hey everyone, what an incredible two and a half weeks this has been! The number of people who joined this campaign and backed the OMB truly humbles us. We couldn't do this without you!
We wanted to address a few questions that many people asked us, mainly:
"Why doesn't the OMB detect open strings when strummed/plucked?"
and:
"Who is the guitar manufacturer for the built in guitars"
Regarding the open strings, the OMB is designed to only recognize the notes being played for purposes of generating a backing track that will match the notes you play - the guitar will indeed output it's full sound including all the strummed or plucked open strings through it's native output. We added features that make use of the note detection and make the device even more powerful. Features that let you control any MIDI instrument from your fret board, even while you continue to strum and blend your guitar with the MIDI instrument, or use your guitar to compose music with your favorite software
As for the manufacturer, we are still finalizing agreements so it is too early to say. What we can tell you, is we are using the finest materials we can while still keeping the price affordable. We will have more information soon!
